Over the next few months, the Grand Prairie City Council will begin discussing priorities for the next fiscal year’s budget. The City Council officially adopts the budget in September.
It’s been said that you can learn a lot about a city by looking at the budget. Every budget reflects choices. While no city can fund everything, the budget ultimately shows what projects and services rise to the top.
Some residents may want to see additional investment in streets, sidewalks, and neighborhood infrastructure. Others may prioritize public safety, parks, libraries, economic development, or community events.
The adopted FY 2025-2026 budget includes investments across many areas of city government, and planning for the next budget cycle will begin soon.
